"Hi...going nude in an open environment for any young man can be a little nerve racking and also embarrassing for him to consider. It doesn't have to be that way and the women at La Tourneval Group want to help.

For the' first time' young man wondering just what it would be like to camp and hike in the Nude in the most natural way possible, our 'Weekender' camp is a great introduction for him.

As co-ordinator for all our weekend programmes this year I am committed to providing the most satisfying and uplifiting experience for every young man who chooses to join one of our many weekend Nude male youth camps. Read on and see what benefits there are for you......

Summary of what's on offer

Trish Burnes has been coaching at La Tourneval for the past two seasons. She supervises Nude swimming at a private pool in Cheshire. Her family consists of her husband, David and two sons Connor (16) and Torry (17) who both swim regulary in the Nude. She became involved as a coach when her boys began swimming competitively and she learned about Nude swimming techniques for males. Born in NY, but having lived most of her life in Southwestern Connecticut, she is a current resident of the UK and is a strong advocate for nude male swim coaching. Young men attending our weekend camp will meet Trish among many other women who volunteer to help young men enjoy a Nudist recreational break. Her own sons Connor and Torry have both attended La Tourneval. Here is what Trish had to say about her own sons Nudist break with the group.

"I have come to understand and appreciate just how beneficial swimming naturally and nude can be for a male in his late teens and early twenties. It was lovely to see both Torry and Connor enjoying themselves in the water at La Tourneval's lake in France, at one with nature and their own bodies as well as mixing with other young men of their own age in the supervised group. Seeing my own sons respond to being nude in the supervision and care of other women was uplifting and joyous"

At La Tourneval you will find an atmosphere of carefree fun wherein young men can enjoy themselves Nude.

Camp provides an opportunity to teach young men valuable life skills that will help them meet the challenges of adulthood. The practice of Nude teaching may be spontaneous or carefully planned, but it must be based in an educational vision that provides the "road map" for relevant and meaningful experiences.

We encourage experiential learning.

People learn best when they have a chance to participate in an activity, reflect on its meaning, learn from it, and put it to use in their everyday lives. This is the experiential learning cycle. "Experiential learning takes place when people engage in an activity, look back on that activity critically, glean some useful insight from the analysis, and put the result to work in their lives," explains educational theorist John Dewey. "We don't learn from experience, we learn from thinking about experience."

We stress the development of positive assets.

Successful youth work today focuses on building a positive foundation for healthy development.Camp incorporates these assets in formulating the desired outcomes for our program.

Male Youth need a structured environment with appropriate boundaries.

Male Youth will have more opportunities to succeed when they are informed of their boundaries. Camp allows them to learn, grow, and thrive within a structured environment that encourages them to be open with their bodies, respect female authority while also setting targets their own development socially

Women must be actively engaged in the positive development of young men.

Camp's focus emphasizes the importance of involving women in the work we do. When our male youth have an understanding of their own bodies and their interraction with females in general, the chances of developmental success are much greater. Engaging mature women also provides opportunities for women to be part of the positive environment created at camp and to understand themselves how the mind of a young man works and feels.

Active interaction with positive adult females play a significant role in a young man's transition to adult life.
Being involved in a Nude camp community allows young men to explore their relationships with women in general and to understand their own sexuality and its meaning in society. Nude camp teaches young men to overcome inhibition and shame relating to their own nudity when in the company of females.

We provide a safe place, physically and emotionally, that is staffed with caring adult women.
Camp staff are carefully screened and rigorously trained. They are coached and mentored by our full time leadership to ensure they are meeting expectations established for them. We believe that the camper/counselor relationship is critical to achieving our outcomes. We stress the importance of staffs' role as mentors and hold them accountable for the safety and well-being of their campers.

We foster cooperation.

We encourage each other to grow by setting and exceeding our own goals. Within groups, young men are taught that cooperation works best. Nude Activities are planned so everyone may benefit from the experience, both male guest and female supervisor together. It is a two way street and supervisors learn also about male psychology, comparative male physical development and how to help young men adapt to their own natural nudity in their presence.

A young man's sense of identity progresses as he grows. Mastery of age-appropriate skills over a period of time contributes to a strong self-identity and self-confidence. When young men realize their bodies are neither stigmatised nor taboo in female company, they learn positive attitudes and skills to interract with women generally.
